Getting Ready For 2011

2011 is here finally. This year means different things to different people. For us in Nigeria, it is a make-or-break year as we seek to make our votes count. A whole generation of Nigerians will be voting for the first time. After years of complaining, it is time to arise our civic responsibility to vote in or vote out.

2011 is a year of action, in every sense of the word. It is a year to do, after so many years of talking. For many of us, it is the year to close our eyes, take a deep breath, and jump. Personally, 2011 is the year a lot of my plans will progress to the execution phase. I believe it is the same for you. After thinking about it, talking it to death, planning and analyzing to the point of analysis paralysis, doing all the due diligence, and writing all the drafts, it is time to Just Do It. Publish it, launch it, let the show begin, and action!

This blog will take a different format this year. I am handing over the microphone to my readers.  I will be dealing with your issues to the best of my ability. Consequently, I will be featuring reader’s stories, and addressing questions and issues that brought you to this site. I will allow you to drive the discussion. I will also feature more “how to” articles, what businesses you can go into, capital outlay, etc. We will brainstorm your issues to the best of our ability. We will feature more resources, and to make this more useful, we need constant feedback, so that we don’t wink in the dark.
